What Is a House Church?
A House Church is a spiritual community that fulfills the essential purposes of the church—worship, teaching, fellowship, service, evangelism, and missions—within the context of the home.
Each House Church is:
Shepherded by trained lay leader(s)
Made up of 6–12 people
Gathered weekly in homes on Friday evenings
-
To carry out the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19)
To see people saved and formed as disciples of Jesus
To actively engage in mission and outreach
To equip the saints through serving within the House Church (Ephesians 4:12)
-
House Churches meet in homes on Friday nights from 6:00–9:00 PM and are led by a Shepherd (lay leader). Each group consists of 6–12 adults and is family-based, welcoming children and teens to participate alongside their parents.
House Church is a safe and welcoming space where individuals:
Fellowship and build meaningful relationships
Worship together
Share their lives
Pray for one another
Meals are provided by the host as part of cultivating a spirit of hospitality and family.
-
House Church is not simply a small group—it is a missional expression of the church. Each House Church is designed to be a safe and inviting space for those who are not yet acquainted with the Christian faith, while also calling committed church members into a shared life of service, discipleship, and evangelism.
Every member participates in the mission, living out their faith together both inside and outside the home.
